AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap

A pressure-actuated cap for the AeroPress that stops drip-through. Means you can steep for longer, use a coarser grind, build pressure when you press, and pull a crema closer to espresso than a standard AeroPress brew.

How the Flow Control Cap works

The standard AeroPress cap lets coffee drip through during the steep, which limits how long you can leave the grind in contact with water before flavour goes off. The Flow Control Cap uses a one-way valve that stays closed under low pressure (when the plunger isn't pressing) and opens when you push down. Steep for as long as you want, then press.

• Longer steeps with no drip-through
• Coarser grinds that pull more slowly
• Crema-style brews (pair with a paper filter and dark roast)
• Espresso-leaning recipes

Filter compatibility

Works with both AeroPress paper filters and the reusable stainless steel filter. Pair however you like:

• AeroPress Paper Micro-Filters: 350 paper filters, the cleanest cup
• Reusable Steel Filter: lets the oils through for a fuller body

Brewer compatibility

Fits the standard AeroPress and the AeroPress Go. Does not fit the AeroPress XL.

Care

Rinse and wipe. The valve is sealed and doesn't need stripping down.
