2. Flow Control Filter Cap: a pressure-actuated valve that stops drip-through. Lets you steep for longer, use a coarser grind, and pull a crema closer to espresso when paired with a paper filter.

Why these three pieces work together

The standard AeroPress brews a clean cup with a paper filter. Add the Flow Control Cap and you can slow the brew down, hold pressure, and get more out of the grind. Swap to the steel filter and you keep the body and oils that paper would absorb. Run all three combinations and the AeroPress becomes a versatile bit of kit, not a one-trick brewer.

Single origins suit the AeroPress because the brewer produces a clean cup that lets origin character come through. Honduras SHG or Brazil Daterra are good places to start.
